New Homes Week 2020
New Homes Week takes place this year from the 13th to 17th May and gives people an opportunity to find out more about the huge benefits of buying a brand new home as opposed to an existing home for sale on the open market.
When you buy a new home, they have been purpose built for modern life with superb finishing touches, high quality specifications taking advantage of the very latest technology, plenty of storage space, maximum light and open plan living. What’s more, new homes have a 10-year warranty as standard for peace of mind.
Compare this to buying an existing property that can be typically anything from ten to one hundred and fifty years old. Although older properties such as tenement flats and Victorian villas are highly desirable, they come with a raft of issues that need to be considered and budgeted for.
New homes can be bought with a Help to Buy or First Home Fund scheme, designed to get the property market moving and give first time buyers a chance to get onto the property ladder and take advantage of rising property values. Buying a new build can mean the difference between renting for an additional year or two and experiencing the joy of owning your own place.
This year, New Homes Week focusses on interior design and how to make the most of a new home. Essentially you have a blank canvas on which to make your mark, so you’ll find design tips by way of videos, blogs and images.
