Introducing Hamiltonhill Living – 600 new homes in Glasgow

 

A collaborative partnership between Queens Cross Housing Association, Hamiltonhill Living is the latest housing development announced by our team at Urban Union.

Assisting in the regeneration of the Hamiltonhill area of Glasgow, we will be delivering a total of 600 new homes – 50% of which will be available for rent through the housing association and the other 50% will be available for private sale.

Comprising of a variety of different house types, we will be aiming to meet the needs of a wide range of diverse lifestyles and budgets, from first-time buyers to growing families.

Our specification includes apartments and terraced housing, all in close proximity of Glasgow City Centre.

The regeneration of the area will be delivered over a 10 year period, split over four phases, having initially launched in August 2022.

The housing development site explained

Pictured above is how the location of our development looks currently. Situated along the canal corridor within North Glasgow, Hamiltonhill neighbours Sighthill, Dundashill, Cowlairs, Ruchill Hospital and Maryhill Locks.

An under developed area of the city, we hope to regenerate the site and bring a real community feel along with our housing.

This will be done through collaborative projects, as well as the build of three new local parks in Hamiltonhill (a separate contract set to complete in Summer 2023) – creating attractive open and safe green spaces for children to enjoy and parents to socialise.

New homes available to reserve at Laurieston Living Phase 3 launch

Having already provided 537 new homes to the Gorbals area of Glasgow, we’re delighted to now be underway with the next phase of works within our Laurieston Living regeneration project – providing Glasgow City Centre with affordable new apartments and townhouses.

Due to complete in Summer 2026, phase 3 will be creating a further 191 new build properties, the first of which to be released will be blocks F & G – available to reserve from Saturday 28th January at 10am.

Within the initial phase 3 launch there will be three apartment types available – The Denham (two bedroom apartment), The Coburg (one bedroom apartment) and The Mackie (one bedroom apartment).

 

The Denham apartment type

The perfect example of one of our most popular and award winning apartments, The Denham apartment is generous in layout and modern in both style and finishes. A two bedroom apartment, properties will be available across a choice of floors and positions.

The Mackie & The Coburg apartment type

Where compact spaces blend perfectly with big ideas. There are just two ‘Mackie’ one bedroom apartments in phase three at Laurieston Living. One on the first and one on the second floor of this end of terrace block. The Mackie maximises the internal space to deliver quality, comfort and flexibility in a cleverly designed layout – making for a great modern first home.

The Coburg is then similar in layout to The Mackie but with an additional fixed window panel in the lounge. A one off design within the development, the one bedroom apartment will be on the top floor of the end of terrace block.

And for those with a requirement for additional living space, such as growing families, we have a range of townhouses to be released on the 28th of January.

Both new designs to the Urban Union portfolio, The Muir (3 bedroom townhouse) and The Cairns (3 bedroom townhouse with roof terrace) will be shown for the first time at Laurieston Living.
